Decrease In Raw Materials; What Now?

Many companies have seen a significant reduction in their ability to access raw materials due to the global pandemic, creating an increase in the cost of most raw materials when they are able to obtain them.  But the burden doesn’t stop there. Many employees are working from home due to rules and regulations surrounding the capacities in the workplace. With raw materials being harder & more expensive to obtain, companies and individuals begin to panic buy, making the shortage worse. To mitigate the increase in costs businesses are forced to raise consumer costs, lay off workers, shut down facilities and in some cases forcing businesses to shut their doors permanently. To say that this is a less than ideal situation would be an understatement. Overall, the raw material shortage has influenced the amount of goods that will be manufactured and distributed.
