Why businesses are using our cameras?

Bussineses that are reopening or have been open amog the COVID-19 Pandemic are being faced with determining what they can do to minimize the risk of the virus. There are pre cautions being put in to place such as temperature detection, wearing masks and washing hands frequently as suggested by the White house https://www.whitehouse.gov/openingamerica/. Being safe and smart about reopening businesses is the best approach business owners can take to keep themselves and their customers feeling safe. Something businesses can use to minimize their risk of exposure is a temperature detection camera. When using the camera it is easy to stay the safe distancing of 6 feet between the operator of the camera and the people getting scanned for an elevated skin temperature. The people walking through with an elevated skin temperature will set then off an alarm and the operator will then be notified.

Best Practices For Running A Safe Business Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

As Covid-19 continues to impact all of our lives, temperature screening is becoming essential. Businesses are getting smarter and smarter about how to keep their customers safe and maximize overall public safety.  After visiting several businesses recently, here is a list of best practices that are currently being used.  Avoid large queues – clearly mark off six-foot marks on the floor with tape wherever you customer’s may be standing in line.  This could include check outs, counters, help desks, etc.  If you see a long line forming at your checkout(s). You should consider moving the queue outside the entrance of your business (also with six foot separation marks) and only let a certain amount of folks in your business. That way it ensures that everyone in the checkout line is separated by six feet.

Regularly clean and disinfect all surfaces your customers can come in contact with. In addition, employ a temperature screening at the entrance of your business to screen all customers for a potential fever.  Employ plexiglass barriers where ever your employees regularly come in contact with your customers.  Finally have your employees wear latex (or similar) gloves and face makes to protect your customers. Encourage your customers to wear latest (or similar) gloves and face masks to protect your employees.

If you are not sure how to smartly employ temperature screening, Linespex offers a state-of-the-art, low cost, effective temperature screening capability that allows effective and fast screening of customers as they enter into your business.  The system monitors all your incoming customers. Measuring a person’s body temperature, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, can be accomplished in a number of different ways including our temperature detection camera solution. Traditionally, body temperature has been measured using contact thermometers that are placed on the forehead or in the mouth, ear, armpit, or rectum.  Non-contact thermometers allow a person’s temperature to be accurately taken with minimal (tympanic) or no (Non-contact infrared thermometer [NCIT], thermal scanner) contact with the person. This means our Temperature camera is a preliminary to determine a person’s temperature. If the person’s temperature has spiked when they walk past the camera, then they should be pulled aside for further testing.

                            What Is The Major Takeaway?

The major takeaway from our temperature detection camera is the benefit of temperature being measured within a safe distance, instead of having to come in contact with every person that is in the line. This minimizes the exposure of personnel, testing everyone in line down to just the people that spike an irregular temperature. Therefore, the disinfection process for these contact thermometers is less. This allows for easier and faster use when screening large numbers of people.  The optimal cut-off temperature for determining fever differs for each device.  Non-contact temperature measurement for coronavirus screening is considered one of the safest approaches. Safest for both protecting your employees and overall public safety.
